Lungi Ngidi was stretchered off after a nasty blow to the head while catching against Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
He took a nasty fall while trying to make a catch and had to be stretchered off the field. Ngidi, who came on from midway through the third round, tried to settle under the skier off the bat of Priyansh Arya but misjudged the chance and crashed into the turf, landing heavily on the back of his head. Punjab Kings head coach Ricky Ponting also entered the field as the situation developed, while Dushmantha Chameera began warming up as a probable concussion replacement. After a few tense minutes in the middle, Ngidi was carefully stretched and taken to an ambulance for further medical evaluation.
