But definitely some good signs,” Pant said after the match. The LSG skipper believed his side were at least 10-15 runs short on an excellent batting surface.“We were definitely 10-15 runs short because it was definitely a 220-230 wicket. And as we started, we were ahead of them,” he said. However, Pant refused to blame the bowlers despite another disappointing result in a difficult season for Lucknow.“On a wicket like this, you can’t blame the bowlers all the time. They did a fantastic job for us. So you can’t really say too much to them,” he added. When asked what LSG needed to revive their campaign, Pant was candid.“I think we need some luck, man. That’s the only thing I’ll say.” He added with a smile, “Yes, I think there will be a lot of blessings in it. And it will definitely require more effort from us.”The loss leaves LSG at the bottom of the IPL 2026 table with just two wins from nine matches, while Mumbai remain mathematically alive in the play-off race.
