Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill was critical of his team despite their big win over Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, April 26. Shubman said after the match that despite starting strongly with the ball, it was difficult for Gujarat to close out the matches well.
The Titans snapped their two-match losing streak in Chennai as they chased down 159 runs in just 16.4 overs. The credit for the win went to the bowlers who bowled CSK with a destructive spell in the first 10 overs.

Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj gave the team a sensational start as they claimed three wickets in the powerplay. He had just 43 runs on the board at the 10 over CSK.
However, GT did not finish their bowling innings well. Ruturaj Gaikwad dug deep to guide CSK to a fighting total of 158 runs, which later proved to be not enough.
“Very happy to win in this part of India. Apart from the last four or five overs, it was a complete performance,” Gill said at the post-match presentation.
“To be critical, finishing the inning was a problem. We have to be better at that.”
With the win, GT ended its two-game losing streak. They suffered heavy losses against Mumbai and Bengaluru but struck against Ruturaj’s Chennai on Sunday.
Sai Sudharsan anchored GT’s innings with a fine knock of 87 runs to help his side chase down the target in 16.4 overs. Gujarat will now travel back home for two matches to face RCB and Punjab Kings, two of the top teams in the tournament.
