With Ashwin, he learned reliably, with more than two months left before the deadline for retention, he interviewed the brass CSK about his role in the future.
“It is an early phase to decide on the future of any player. The restriction date is still to be announced. So we have time,” said IPL PTI. “It is a plan before the auction to discuss players and Ashwin, who is a senior, is part of it. It is a mutual discussion to understand his role in the team before the next season IPL,” he added.
The 38 -year -old Ashwin, who left the international cricket last year, was purchased for 9.75 crore before the 2025 Mega auction before the 2025 season. For players based in Chennai it was a return home that had previously appeared on CSK from 2009 to 2015.
Later he continued to play for the now extinct growing Super Giant and the then Kings XI Punjab (currently Kings Kings) in 2018. He played nine games in the season and picked up only seven goals to a large extent disappointment because he finished fifth with seven victories.
There are speculations that CSK could tie in the Wicketkeeper Sanja battery, who wants to leave his current team-Erasthan Royals. “We have some players in our minds who join our line -up next season. But we haven’t had discussions with anyone yet, because I said there was a lot of time to keep players, etc.” said the source.
