(Photo credit: IPL) NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans exacted revenge on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru to draw 1-1 in IPL 2026 and register a comfortable four-wicket win at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday. Chasing a modest target of 156 runs, the Shubman Gill-led GT survived a few hiccups en route to their fifth win of the season.The two points from the home win took GT to 10 as they progressed towards the play-off places and cemented their position in mid-table. GT reduced the gap on fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals to just two points while extending their lead over sixth-placed Chennai Super Kings to four points.

Kolkata Knight Riders are eighth with five points, while Mumbai Indians are ninth with four points, just ahead of bottom-placed Lucknow Super Giants on the NRR.As the league stage enters a crucial phase, the playoffs are sharpening. GT are firmly in contention for this crucial win against RCB on Thursday.
