CSK were well placed in the chase but failed to sustain the momentum when it mattered most.Gaikwad explained that based on SRH’s strong start, he expected a total of around 220-230, so restricting them below 200 felt like a victory. However, the chase derailed after the 10-over mark as CSK scored just four runs in two overs, allowing the pressure to mount.

Shreyas Iyer’s Masterclass and Arshdeep Singh’s Return! PBKS reveal a winning formula“When I looked at how their powerplay was going, I was looking at a score of around 220-230. To take it down by 30 runs, I’d take it under 200 any day. It only took about 80 runs in 10 overs (with the bat). From there it was just about building a couple of partnerships. After 13 more overs, we scored just 4 runs in another 10 overs at death, it’s going to be tough,” he said.Batting first, SRH posted 194/9 thanks to quick half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen. The ČSK bowlers, including Anshul Kamboja, managed to keep the score at bay.In response, CSK got off to a good start from Ayush Mhatre, Matthew Short and Sarfaraz Khan but kept losing wickets. SRH players like Eshan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy controlled the game in the later stages.Despite the loss, Gaikwad praised his bowlers and praised Kamboja’s confidence: “It’s been three consecutive matches where the bowling unit has done really well. Even today’s power play, I think Abhishek played brilliantly. I think everyone did a good job (with the ball).“He (Anshul Kamboj) works really hard on his bowling, especially the death bowling. You very rarely come across bowlers who are clear and say to the captain, I know what to do, that’s what I’m going to do.”
