Captain Hardik Pandya in Mumbai (Mi) was on arrival on the fold during the match 29 Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) against Delhi Capitals (DC) checked at the fold in Delhi. When Pandya came to the bat at number five, after the release of Suryakumar Yadava, the referee explored the width of his bat to make sure he was below the tournament instructions.

“The bat blade must not exceed the following dimensions: width: 4.25 / 10.8 cm, depth: 2.64in / 6.7 cm, edges: 1.56in / 4.0 cm.
Strict control of the dimensions of bats comes in the middle of several high scores in the tournament, as teams easily exceed the 200-running brand more often than not. Recently, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered the second highest successful run in the tournament history when they overcame Mammoth Pandjab Kings for a total of 245 in just 18.3 overs.
