
The threat of the bomb at the ARUN Jaitley in Delhi proved to be fraud, but the safety on the spot was intensified. The teams of the bomb (BDS) and the dog team together with the police teams in Delhi on Friday 8th May threw themselves at the iconic place after Delhi and the District Criket Association (DDCA).
But the official confirmed that it was just a scam. Minister DDCA Ashok Sharma said they received the threat by e -mail and immediately handed it over to the police. Mr. Sharma said the police bomb in Delhi came and looked at the whole place and nothing was found.

“We got a bomb threat via e -mail at DDCA. We immediately handed it over to the police in Delhi. The police bomb came in Delhi and checked the whole place. Nothing was found,” said DDCA Minister Ashok Sharma PTI.
The source in Delhi told PTI that several teams had thrown into the venue and carried out a thorough check. The source also said that security at the stadium and its surroundings was intensified.
“Nothing suspicious was found. We further increased safety at the stadium and around it,” the source said.
IPL suspended for a week
BCCI announced on Friday that the ongoing IPL season will be suspended for a week Due to the growing cross -border tension between India and Pakistan. Development follows the clash of PBKS vs DC, which was canceled in the middle of the game due to Air Raid alerts in nearby areas.
BCCI assured that the new schedule and places would be announced at the right time.
“The Board of Directors for cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the rest of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 with immediate effect for one week. Further updates on the new schedule and tournament sites will be announced at the right time after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with the competent authorities and the parties.”
