To the surprise of everyone, “Palghar Express”, which played 83 international for India, was not sold at the Auction of the Indian Premier League. Just before, a 33 -year -old man was omitted from the Indian group to play the Border Gavascar trophy in Australia. Thakur, who recently recovered from ankle surgery, refused to discourage himself and spent spectacularly in the trophy of Ranji and finished the season with 35 goals in nine games at 22.62 and scored 505 runs at 42.08, including centuries and forty years.
With seemingly out of reach, Thakur registered with Essex in the Essex district for the summer, hoping to help his chances before the upcoming Indian England.
