Star Rajasthan Royals Riyan Parag said he hopes to return to the senior national team with consistent performances in the IPL 2025 season. In 2024, he enjoyed the breakthrough season of the IPL with Rajasthan Royals and repaid the confidence that the franchise was put into it.
Riyan Parag broke 573 runs in 16 matches, on average 52.09 with a strike of 149.21 in IPL 2024 – the first time he scored over 200 runs in the season for Rajasthan. Despite his earlier lack of consistency, Royals has supported Riyan since they bought it at the 2019 auction.

Riyan, thinking about the opportunity to play for India, he said, “Really strange. I have been dreaming of it since I was a little child. You see a smile on my face and yeah, just trying to have another good season and hopefully in Indian colors soon.”
“Last year, everything came together collectively. I try to do the same this year – it got a lot of starts, just trying to convert these starts to big shifts,” he added.
Riyan recovered from the shoulder injury in time to play for Rajasthan in IPL 2025. The versatile missed the Indian tour of South Africa and the home series against England. With a growing competition for places on the T20i side, the right towel can have to get its place back with strong home performances.
Riyan led Rajasthan Royals in their first three games Seasons, when Sanju Samson was only available as a player of impact because of injury concerns. He led them to their first campaign victory in his third match – against Chennai Super Kings. Riyan scored 135 runs in five shifts with an improved blow of 160.
The young dough showed great versatility and the batting was switched between No. 3 and No. 4.
“I was in the first three games of the first games; now I’m back to number four. I have played in this position in the last three games and I feel that it will stay at least a few next games, not the rest of the season.
