New Delhi: When Jos Buttler gets, the opposition remains looking for answers. SCOOP, reverse hill, move, straight drive, cut, swing – every shot in the book was exhibited when Royal Challengers Bengalur was dismantled. Gujarat Titani attacked the victory in eight goals and went to Buttler’s Masterclass bats.
The Englishman dictated the persecution of blistering 73 from only 39 balls in a blow 187,18. His knocking, dotted with nine boundaries and three six, left RCB hudents clueless.
After the early release of Shaubman Gill, Buttler and Sai Sudharsan, they were made by a major 75-Run partnership. Sudharsan contributed a stable 49 out of 36 balls and ensured that GT remained on the course. As soon as Sudharsan fell, Buttler pressed the accelerator and took GT home with 13 balls to save and set off his authority to persecute.
Previously, RCB tried to find a rhythm and published 169/8 in 20 breaks. Their shifts have never really fled because GT pitch -offs struck regular intervals. Early release of Virt Kohli (7) and Devdutt Padikkal (4) put them on the hind leg. Phil Salt (14) and Rajat Patidar (12) also failed to earn and RCB remained on 42/4 inside six exceeded.
IPL 2025 | Kagiso Rabada: “Even No. 10 may hit six … no longer a secret”
Liam Livingstone offered some resistance and broke 54 out of 40 balls, including five and three and six. Jitesh Sharma (33 out of 21) provided a rapid portrait, but the GT pitching kept pressure. Sai Kishhore (2/22) and Mohammed Siraj (3/19) were excellent, never allowed the RCB to settle. Tim David’s Risk 32 out of 18 raised RCB to 169, but it was always a hard defense.
In response, GT began carefully when Gill left for 14 years. Buttler and Sudhasan, however, took over control and found regular boundaries to chase on the good way. After the release of Sudharsan with Sherfane Rutherford (30* OFF 18), he joined Buttler and their unsurpassed 63-run stall closed the victory in style.
With this victory, GT climbed the fourth place in the point table, while the RCB slipped to third place and faced another failure in their campaign.
