After the forgotten IPL 2025 campaign, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Mahendra Singh Dhoni returned to Ranchi, where she spends her time far from the cricket reflector. Former India captain was recently seen on his farm and enjoyed the quiet fishing sessions. Mrs. Dhoni, who holds freshly caught fish, has become a viral on social media, where you can see a black T -shirt with the words “duty, honor, country”.
“It matters. I would say the same again: I have four five months to decide, it is no hurry to decide what to do,” Dhoni said when he was asked for his future IPL. “Now I have to go to Ranch and enjoy a bike ride in my hometown,” he said after the final match of CSK, indicating a break from the game before he decided on the future.
CSK ended the 2025 season at the bottom of the table – the first in the sixteen -year history of franchise. Despite the fact that he ended up at a height of 83 over Gujarat Titans, the team managed only four victories in 14 matches and was the first to be excluded from the playoffs of the race. The previous minimum came in 2022 when they finished ninth.
Asked about his plans, Dhoni said“Every year it is 15% more effort to keep the body in shape – remember that it is the highest cricket. It is a professional cricket – you have to be at best – and it is not always a power that you can calculate, because if crickets start to leave for performance, a few will retire.
“It is important to see how much hunger you are, what kind of fitness you are and how much you can contribute to the team and whether the team needs you or not. So I have enough time. I’ll go back to Ranch – I haven’t been home – for a long time – enjoy a few bike rides (take a) a few months and then decide.
He also sincerely talked about the growing physical requirements of the game. “I’m not saying I’m done, I’m not saying I’m coming back. As I said, I have luxury of time. When you have luxury, why not think about it and then make a decision.”
This season, Dhoni played every match for CSK and faced more supplies than in the previous two editions together. However, there was criticism of his position in the order of toss, with many feelings that he had come too late during the fundamental moments.
