The South African stimulator Kagiso Rabada served the interim suspension after positive testing for a recreational drug during the SA20 tournament at the beginning of this year.
The incident occurred when Rabada represented me Cape Town and Espncricinfo confirmed that the substance did not increase performance.
Rabad departure from IPL 3rd AprilWhere he represented Gujarat Titans, he was originally attributed to the franchise “important personal matter”. At that time, no details of the nature of his absence were provided or whether he would return to the tournament. Since then, Rabad has returned to India.
In his statement issued by the South African Association of the Cricteries’ Association (SACA), Kagiso Rabada confirmed that after positive testing for recreational drugs, “interim suspension” is used.
“As mentioned, I recently returned to South Africa from participating in IPL for personal reasons. It was because of my return of an unfavorable analytical finding for the use of a recreational drug.
“I’m deeply sorry for all those I have disappointed. I will never have the privilege to play cricket for granted. This privilege is much greater than me. It goes beyond my personal desires. I serve the interim suspension and look forward to returning to the game I love.”
Rabada also thanked those who supported him throughout the episode:
“I couldn’t go through it myself. I would like to thank my agent CSA and Gujarat Titans for their support. I would also like to thank Saca and my legal team for their leadership and advice. The most important thing is that I would like to thank my friends and family for their understanding and love.
Moving forward, this moment does not define me. I will continue to do what I have always done, worked hard and play with passion and devotion to my craft. ”
South Africa (CSA) cricket has not yet issued an official statement on this matter. The future participation of Rabada in domestic and international accessories remains uncertain while the interim suspension is introduced.
