According to The Tech Word News, the IPL 2025 jerseys were reportedly stolen by 6.5 Lakh rupees, according to a report from the Tech Word News. The 40 -year -old guard was the culprit for the robbery and was arrested for a crime. According to the report, the arrested guard, Farooque Aslam Khan, stole 261 jerseys, each with almost 2,500 rupees.
The police said the guard had stolen them to fund their gambling addiction online. While the jerseys were different teams, it is not certain whether the trains were for players or the public. The guard sold the jerseys online sellers from Haryana, with whom he joined the social media.

While the jerseys were stolen on June 13th, theft came out when the audit showed that the shop room was missing stocks. BCCI officials then explored the CCTV shots and found that the guard was leaving with the jerseys in the box.
“The guard claims to have applied a little with the online seller, but he has not yet stated how much he gained for the agreement,” said the police source toi.
The jerseys were sent by courier online sellers who were summoned from Haryana for investigation.
“Online seller says he wasn’t aware that the jerseys were stolen,” the police source said.
“The guard said the men in Haryana that the jerseys are part of the sale of shares for the reconstruction work that took place in the office.”
Of the 261 jerseys that were stolen, 50 of them were obtained. The guard said he got money from the online seller directly to his back account. He also claimed that he lost all the money for online gambling.
“He (Guard) claims that he lost all this to online gambling,” the source said, adding that they were checking his bank account data to verify his claim.
BCCI filed an official complaint about theft at Marine Drive 17 July.
