
The Indian cricket council (BCCI) is likely to arrange an appointment on 11 or 12 May to complete the future procedure concerning the Indian Premier League 2025. IPL was stopped on 8 May, in the middle of the game between the Pandjab King and the capitals of Delhi when tension escalated between India and Pakistan. Indiatoday learned that the Council would probably renew the tournament after a ceasefire between two nations was agreed on Saturday.
BCCI took quick steps to miss foreign players back to their homes through flights in the middle of the escalation of the conflict between India and Pakistan. On Saturday evening, however, a ceasefire was announced. An unexpected announcement came after the Pakistani CEO of military operations dialed its Indian counterpart around 15:30 and both parties agreed to stop all military actions on Earth, sea and air.
The best BCCI official told India today that both nations agree with a ceasefire can now take place all over the country. Previously, BCCI tried to figure out whether IPL could be completed by organizing matches in Chennai, Bengalur and Hyderabad.
“Now that the conflict de-eskaloval and a ceasefire was agreed, we are open to organizing matches in all regions, not only in the southern states,” the official told India today in an exclusive interview.
The official also acknowledged that several overseas players returned home due to uncertainty.
“We are aware that some overseas players have left and take into account their availability, we will decide how and when to continue the IPL.
