Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) suffered the main failure of the Playoff IPL 2025 because on Friday during their last league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), he pulled the versatile injury Tim David on Friday.
The incident occurred in the first shifts when David stood on a deep square leg. David Spring, who tried to stop the swing from Ishan Kishan to reach the border, but immediately signaled medical care after he appeared that he had pulled his hamstring. He left the field in visible discomfort.
Despite the injury, David came after the release of Jitesh Sharma in 17th place. But he fought clearly. He could not run between the goals, at the end of the attacker he was attached by a tight magic from Eshan Maling and eventually turned on for a long time. His short stay added only to RCB problems, as the desired rate rose out of reach.
David’s injury contributes to growing RCB fears in front of play -off. This season, Australian was Standout an artist and scored 186 to escape only 96 balls in a blow of 193.8. His strength in death played a key role in the RCB campaign.
RCB also lacked the key opportunity to complete in the first two after a heavy 42-run loss for SRHPowered by blister 94* out of 48 balls by Ishan Kishan. The defeat dropped RCB to the third place on the point table with 17 points, for Gujarat Titans (18) and Pandjab Kings (17), but with a weaker clean run.
The persecution of the daunting 232, RCB made a strong start through Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. The couple added 80 in just seven breaks, taking the lead, sending Harshal patel and Maling with authority. Momentum, however, shifted when Kohli was rejected by the spinner of the left shoulder of the harsh Dubey, who continued to impress after the Star Trophies.
The salt raised the pace with the border and six, racing for half a century from 27 balls before the cramps forced him to slow down. Soon thereafter, Cummins fell and the persecution of RCB began to crumble.
Captain Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma added a brisk 44 for the fourth goal, but the mix-up saw Patidar and Romario Shepherd followed a gold duck. Jitesh and the wounded David quickly fell in the order and RCB lost his last seven goals on only 60 runs, folding at 189.
With Cummins (3/28) and Malinga (2/37), the charges lead, SRH closed a comprehensive victory.
RCB is now facing nervous waiting for multiple fronts. Jacob Bethell and Lungi Ngidi will be missing Play -Off due to international duty, and Josh Hazlewood remains a dubious starter when he recovers from the shoulder injury. David’s injuries are further exhausted by the already outstretched group.
