We are now at the IPL 2025 business end, with Play -off heating. While some players lit up the tournament, several big names were unable to justify their hefty price tags. There is still a look at the Flop XI season, a team of insufficiently executive workers who simply delivered when it mattered the most.
Opens: Rahul Tripathi and Rachin Ravindra (both from CSK)
It is quite said that both opening pits in this list are Chennai Super Kings.
Rahul Tripathi (3.4 crore): He played 5 games, scored only 55 runs on average 11.00 and a strike of 96.49. His highest score? Only 23.
Rachin Ravindra: Despite the decent start, Ravindra (8 matches) managed only 191 runs at 27.29, with a lonely fifty (65*). His strike Míra 128,19 was stunning to someone who expected to set the tone at the top
Medium order: Ishan Kishan, Rishabh pant (C & WK), Venkatesh Iyer
This trio of left was expected, but the apartment was falling.
Ishan Kishan (11,25 crore): After the brilliant century in the opening game, it completely emerged – 196 runs in 11 shifts at 24.50, strike 144.12.
RISHABH PANT (27 crore – the most expensive player in IPL history): Displayed the price tag pressure. With only 128 runs in 11 matches in a shocking average of 12.80 and a strike under 100 (99,22), Pant’s comeback was a huge decline.
Vote
Which player has been the biggest disappointment in IPL 2025 so far?
Venkatesh Iyer (23.75 crore): Despite the lonely fifty, he could not have any consistent impact. 142 runs in 11 matches at 20.29 and the strike rate of 139.22 did not justify the investment.
Quiz: Who is the IPL player?
Lower order: Glenn MaxwellLiam Livingstone, Deepak Hooda,
The mixture of overseas stars and experienced Indian players, everyone did not contribute meaningfully.
Glenn Maxwell (4.2 Crore): Probably the worst season of his career IPL. Only 48 runs in 7 shifts on average 8.00 and a strike rate of 97.96. He also raised 4 goals in the economy 8.46.
Liam Livingstone (8.75 crore): The shadow of his usual explosive self. Only 87 runs in 7 matches at 17.40 (SR 127,94) and only 2 goals that will show up for their versatile skills.
Deepak Hooda (1.7 crore): Complete non-factor this season-31 runs in 6 matches on average 6.20 and strike 75.6
Bowlers: Ravicandran ashwinTUSHAR DESHPANDE, Mohammad shama
R. Ashwin (9.75 crore): The many -wing return home did not go as planned. Only 5 goals in 10 games on average 44.60 and poor economy 9.29.
TUSHAR DESHPANDE (6.5 crore): He fought consistency and control – 6 goals on average 45.00 and an amazing economy of 11.25.
Mohammad Shami (10 crore): Surprising insufficient performance. Only 6 goals in a tournament with an average of 56.17 and an economic rate of 11.23.
