While some players justify their hefty price tags with performances winning matches, others cannot deliver. But there is a third, less discussed category-players who don’t even have a chance to prove their value. Whether due to problems with fitness or team combination, in the IPL 2025 this season is to play affordable players in IPL 2025.

Should franchises prefer fitness players over the auction price?
Mayank Yadav turned his heads in IPL 2024 at his raw pace, regularly hit speeds above 150 km / h. In his first two games he set a record in Awards Back-to-back players of matches and made only four players debut to India after playing.
LSG realized its potential and kept it for the incredible CRS RS 11. However, the injury again maintained a young stimulator on the sidelines. Fortunately for LSG, Mayank joined the Rishabh Pant band after check -in from BCCI and is expected to return soon.

T Natarajan – Delhi Capitals (Rs 10,75 crore)
Tyharajan, known for his Pinpoint Yorkers and calm under pressure, was an artist for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024 and ended up as their highest goal with 19 scalp. Delhi Capitals went in auction and secured it for 10.75 CRS.
Surprisingly, in the middle of IPL 2025, Natarajan still has to appear. With 67 goals in 61 IPL games, his experience should be beneficial, but the current DC – led by Mitchell Starc, Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma – did well, and Nataraian is not 100%at the moment.
DC sits comfortably in second place with five wins in seven games.

Jacob Bethell – Royal Challengers Bengaluru (Rs 2.6 crore)
England -growing versatile Jacob Bethell was picked up by Royal Challengers Bengalur for RS 2.6 Crore after the escape year when he made his debut in all formats for England.
Bethell last appeared for England in Odi in Nagpur for the last time for England in Odi in Nagpur. Although the RCB showed a strong form-they played five of their eight matches-they were on Liam Livingstone and now Romario Shepherd in the overseas versatile slot.
Since the business end is approaching and it is likely that the team rotation, Bethell can contribute this season.
Gerald Coetzee – Gujarat Titans (Rs 2.4 Crore)
Young South African Pacer bought Gujarat Titans for CRORE RS 2.4 after an impressive Stint with Indians in Mumbai in 2024, where he picked up 13 goal in 10 games.
Despite his login lists and international experience in the format, Coetzee has not yet disintegrated into GT playing XI. Titans flew high with five wins out of seven matches, largely thanks to their impressive bowling line -up, led by Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Sraji and Spinners like Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan.
Even the absence of Kagiso Rabada did not open the door for Coetzee. However, as the league proceeds, injuries and fatigue can bring it to the center of attention.

Rahmanullah gurbaz – Kolkata Knight Riders (Rs 2 crore)
Afghanistani hard opener and Wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been with KRKR since 2023 and at Mega auction was again signed on Rs 2 Crore. Although Gurbaz was part of his settings for two seasons and plays 14 games in total, this year he did not play a single game.
KRK decided to go with Quinton de Kock, which was quite consistent, including the highest score of 97. Since the defending champions disappear in the lower half of the table, the team leadership can hesitate to make drastic changes.
If De Kock does not enter or interfere with their combination, Gurbaz’s chances look limited.
