Former Indian assistant coach Abhishek Nayar joined Kalkata Knight, just days after being released from the national team. The KKR announced the news on Saturday, April 19, but did not mention what role the former dough would play in the line -up.
Nayar was rewarded with the role of India’s team after 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League. Nayar came to the Gautama Gambhira support staff after the verified history helped players like Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and Rink to rediscover their appearance at different cricket levels. Abhishek Nayar was released from the Indian team after deplorable performances in the National Party test format. The Indian team was issued by terrible losses against New Zealand and Australia in the 2024-25 season. Between coaching staff, led by Gautam Gambhir, the Cryt check advice in India decided to remove three members – Abhishek Nayar (Coach Baging), T Dilip (Fielding Coach) and Sohum Desai (strength and conditioning trainer).
Among the new coaching staff remain on the coaching staff only Gautam Gambhir, Ryan Ten Jichrate and Morne Morkel. In addition to the three, Sitanshu Kotak, who joined the Indian side in front of the Champions trophies, still with the national team. Sitanshu joined the side of the National Cricket Academy, headed by VVS Laxman.
