In a major boost to its industrial ambitions, the Andhra Pradesh government has come close to securing nearly ₹1,00,000 crore worth of investment in the aerospace and defense sector in a year since the launch of its flagship policy.
The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on April 30 approved the allotment of 350 acres at Puttaparthi in Sri Sathya Sai district for a defense manufacturing facility under the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
