Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has set a target of raising the state’s contribution to India’s gross domestic product (GDP) to 10% by 2047 from the current level of nearly 5% as he outlined the state’s economic vision at the curtain raiser at the Invest Telangana 2026 Global Summit.
Addressing business representatives in New Delhi on Thursday (October 29), he invited businesses to attend ‘The Invest Telangana Global Summit’ to be held at Bharat Future City from December 7 to 9 to explore investment opportunities in the state.
The state was targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 as part of its Telangana Rising-2047 vision, he said, and called on industry leaders to participate in achieving these goals.
Responding to possible investor concerns about Centre-state government relations, the Chief Minister said the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal at the event demonstrated the importance attached to state-Centre cooperation. “Invest in Telangana and prosper,” he told the gathering.
Assuring that the Center will be a partner in Telangana’s growth story, Mr. Piyush Goyal said that every investment and every job created in the state will contribute to the economic progress of the country.
Mr. Goyal said that closer cooperation between the Center and the state along with a stable policy and business environment will help Telangana expand its economic opportunities and so will India.

Mr. Revanth Reddy said the government would recalibrate its industrial and technology policy to attract domestic and international investment. The summit would showcase Telangana’s strengths in information technology, pharma, life sciences and the animation, visual effects, games and comics (AVGC) industry.
The Chief Minister said that Telangana is trying to contribute to India’s efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in defense manufacturing. He pointed to the country’s aerospace exports, which rose to ₹ 30,742 crore, and announced plans to roll out aerospace and defense policy 2.0.
Artificial intelligence and climate change would be special sub-themes of the global summit. Specialized seminars would bring together meteorological experts, technologists and environmental academics to discuss new challenges and technological solutions, he said.
