A young man from Chennai, who traveled with a gang of friends, was driving the car to the sea near the coast of SothiFoupam in the Cuddalore district in Tamil Nad, while on Thursday (September 11, 2025) watched the navigation application. Everyone was later rescued by local fishermen.
The police said the car had five passengers, including two women. The driver of the group, who traveled from the Cuddalore port to Parangipettai in a sports utility vehicle (SUV), after the popular navigation application was poorly turned and reached the beach of SothiPrpam. The driver then threw the SUV into the sea.

Although the inhabitants in the car managed to get out, the vehicle remained stuck in the sea. With the help of the tractor, the fishermen pulled the car out of the sea.
The police said the group was in a helpless state and was released with a warning.
