
Search selection committees represented by the Supreme Court will start interviews for the appointment of Vice -President for APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and Digital University Keral (DUK) in Thiruvananthapurram 8 October.
The committees, chaired by the former Supreme Court judge Sudhansh Dhulia, were entrusted to supervise the selection process.
Interviews for applicants for Vice Chancellor on KTU will take place on 8 and 9 October, while the DUK interviews are scheduled for 10 and 11 October. The university education department will learn to issue almost 60 candidates to appear for interviews.
Each of these two committees includes four members, each nominated by the State Government and Chancellor for incorporating the panels.
The Supreme Court ordered the recommendations of the committees to be submitted to the main minister, which can then recommend applicants for a shortlist in a specific order within two weeks. While the Chancellor will be required to perform meetings in the same order, he will also be able to express reservations against empaneous names. The Supreme Court will take the final decision in the event of disagreement.
