Higher Education Minister R. Bindu on Wednesday formally launched the Internship Kerala Portal jointly developed by the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) and Keltron.
The portal ( is envisioned as an integrated digital ecosystem connecting students, universities and industries across the state, including public sector undertakings. It will enable students to search for internship opportunities in paid, unpaid and scholarship mode.
The initiative currently offers internships in more than 20 skill sectors, including information technology (IT) and IT services, electronics, automotive, logistics and banking.
Dr. On this occasion, Bindu called the reform an important milestone in the ongoing restructuring of the four-year bachelor’s program. This initiative aims to improve employment prospects and bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.
KSHEC Vice Chairman Rajan Gurukkal presided over the function.
