The Commission headed by the pension judge HN Nagamohan Das, who had the task of recommending a quota for an internal booking between planned castes in the state, is likely to present his report this week.
Sources in the Commission stated that the final report is ready and checking errors. The report will be submitted to the main minister Siddaramaiaha on Thursday, the sources said. Currently, recruitment for public services has been stopped due to the problem of internal reservation, which will be removed as soon as the Commission’s recommendations have been accepted.
After a two -month survey, which began on May 5, the Commission managed to identify 93% of the 1.16 crore assumed planned caste in the state. The survey lagged behind the city of Bengalur, where 53% of the estimated population of 13.62 Lakh SC was identified.
The Commission was established by the government after the Supreme Court’s order in August 2024, which paved the way for an internal booking between 101 planned castes in the state. The demand for the internal reservation comes mainly from the Pallit communities on the left (Madigas), which feels that the benefits of the reservation have so far been in addition to Bhovis and Lambanis in the plane of the corner.
Meanwhile, who put pressure on the government, Dalit’s abandoned community leaders threatened an indefinite protest from August 11 in Bengalur, looking for an internal reserve.
