
On Tuesday, a special effort to collect electronic waste from households and commercial equipment will begin. Harith Karma Volunteers will be deployed to collect electronic waste. In the first phase, a collective unit will be held in municipal corporations. Minister for Local Self -Government MB Rajesh will start a state -in -level drive that will take place in Neyyattara at 11 am
Currently, local bodies collect electronic waste twice a year. However, the government decided to make a special effort to streamline the collection and ensure scientific disposal of electronic waste. Recoable electronic waste will also obtain a fixed price for Clean Kerala. The project is implemented by Clean Kerala in cooperation with Missionwa Mission, local self -governing institutions, Harith Karma hay, kudumbashree, schools, universities, residential associations and electronic retailers.
CRT television, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, blender grinder, fan, laptop, CPU, CRT monitor, mice, keyboard, LCD monitor, LCD/LED TV, printer, photos, iron box, mobile, telephone, radio, modem, conditioner, climate, CTS, CD. Type, PCB plates, speakers, headphones, switching plates, emergency lamp and similar non -functional or outdated items of electronic equipment are considered electronic waste.
