Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said the BJP-led NDA government is moving forward with the ideology of ‘Ekatma Manav Darshan’ (Integral Humanism).
“Integral humanism is the spirit behind the implementation of various social programmes. It is the culmination of the experience of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, who was behind the targeting of politics to the last person in society,” he noted.
Mr. Meghwal, who was the chief guest at the valedictory function of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh’s (BJS) 60th National Conference held in Vijayawada on Saturday, said that it was at this conclave held in 1965 that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya first introduced his concept of integral humanism and later became BJPa in BJPa.
He recalled that Pandit Deendayal had a deep connection with Rajasthan where, for example, when a woman gets married, the entire community joins the happy event as if it were their own family function. The concept of integral humanism had its origins in this “community spirit”, he stated.
The Union Minister said that ‘Ekatma’ can be achieved only when the soul, body, mind and intellect are in perfect harmony and contented. He claimed that the BJP also strongly believes in the importance of “cultural nationalism”, which Sushma Swaraj famously articulated with suggestive examples when it was debated in Parliament. The BJP’s cultural policy has since been well prepared for like-minded people to follow, he added.
BJP Joint General Secretary (Organization) Shiv Prakash, State President PVN Madhav, MPs Daggubati Purandeswari (Rajamahendravaram) and CM Ramesh (Anakapalli), BJP Tamil Nadu Vice President B. Kanaga Sabapathy, former General Secretary of Deendayal Research Institute and former General Secretary of Deendayal Research Institute and MP M. Saulraju Jain VLC M. were among those who spoke.
