Inspector Mandal and two private assistants arrested by ACB in ₹10,000 bribe trap in Karimnagar
The mandal surveyor of Saidapur mandal in Karimnagar district along with two private assistants were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday for demanding and accepting bribe for conducting an official land survey.
Accused Yekkaladevi Kumaraswamy was jailed by ACB Karimnagar Range after accepting a bribe of ₹10,000 through his aides for processing a land survey application.
The complaint related to the survey of land belonging to the complainant at Ammangurthi village in Saidapur mandal. Investigators said the officer initially demanded ₹25,000 for the job and had already received ₹5,000 through a UPI transaction on 23 May 2026. Subsequently, ₹10,000 was received in cash on 2 June 2026 through Vanga’s private assistant Vihith Reddy, while the remaining was received today by Teala’s other private assistant, Teala Rajesh.
A tainted amount of ₹10,000 was recovered from the possession of Teegala Rajesh during a trap operation.
After the operation, the accused officer and the two private assistants were arrested and produced before a special court for SPE and ACB cases in Karimnagar.
The case is currently under investigation and further investigation is underway regarding the involvement and financial trail of the accused.
