Archana Majumdar, a member of the National Commission for Women (NCW), said on Tuesday that the Commission was committed to protecting girls and women and protecting their rights.
As part of the three -day visit to Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Majumdar around Siddhartha Government Medical College and the old government hospital in Vijayawada. She said injustice against women in any part of the country would not be tolerated.
She said that incidents of sexual harassment or attack should be reported to the female commission and stressed that every commercial institution or office with more than 10 employees must be an internal complaint committee (ICC). These committees should operate under the guidance of an employee of a higher woman and must be adequately taken by the appropriate measures, clarified.
She said the commission was available 24/7 and that the victims could report complaints at any time. She made sure that immediate measures would be taken and informed that for the safety and strengthening of the position of girls and women across the country, a continuous effort would be made.
Majumdar asked if Siddhartha Government Medical College ICC and ordered that he should be created within a week. It also ordered hospitals to place imaging councils at the university and inform the public about the women’s adopted measures. She also wanted them to ensure that the help numbers were visible.
The chairwoman of the female Commission Andr Pradesh Rayapati Sailaja said that if ICC founded in various institutions did not ensure justice of the victim, the matter should be escalated to the state or the National Commission for Women.
