Infosys and Street Child Team Up to Enable Access to Quality Education in Ukraine with Digital Innovation
Mumbai, India – Infosys, a leading global provider of consulting, technology, and business process services, has joined forces with Street Child, a UK-based non-governmental organization, to revolutionize the way children in Ukraine have access to quality education. Through a unique digital platform, the partnership aims to bridge the gap between the underserved children in Ukraine and the world of education.
The collaboration, powered by Infosys’ cutting-edge technology and Street Child’s expertise in education, is designed to empower children from disadvantaged backgrounds with the tools and resources needed to succeed. By leveraging digital innovation, the partnership will create a bespoke educational platform that is tailored to the needs of the children in Ukraine.
The platform, which is currently under development, will utilize a mix of online and offline learning resources, making it accessible to children even in the most remote areas of Ukraine. The digital platform will feature a range of interactive tools, including interactive lessons, gamification, and AI-powered chatbots, to engage children and encourage active learning.
"The collaboration with Street Child is a natural extension of our commitment to giving back to the community," said R Sadagopan, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Infosys. "By combining our expertise in digital innovation with the unparalleled knowledge of Street Child, we are confident that we can make a significant impact on the lives of the children in Ukraine, enabling them to access quality education and build a brighter future for themselves."
Street Child, a UK-based charity, has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of children affected by poverty, conflict, and displacement in Ukraine. The organization’s dedicated team of educators and mentors work closely with local authorities to identify and support the most vulnerable children, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities.
"This partnership with Infosys is a game-changer for the children we support in Ukraine," said Tom Millroth, CEO of Street Child. "For too long, many of these children have been denied the right to an education, and it’s time we do something about it. With Infosys’ expertise and commitment to digital innovation, we are confident that we can create a platform that truly makes a difference, empowering these children to break the cycle of poverty and unlock their full potential."
The platform is expected to be launched in the coming months, with an initial focus on reaching underserved communities in western and eastern Ukraine. The partnership is a significant milestone in the efforts to ensure that no child is left behind in their pursuit of education.
As a leading player in the global technology landscape, Infosys has consistently demonstrated its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that promote digital inclusion, education, and sustainability. This latest partnership with Street Child marks a significant step forward in the company’s CSR efforts, further solidifying its reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
