Mariakutta, who begged to protest against Govt. The delay in the pension payments is joined to the BJP. The movement leaves the congress that built a house for her.
The induction of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 87 -year -old Mariakutta, who has published a report of protest against delay in the area of social security, provoked a political discussion in IDUKKI.
Mariakutta, resident Adimala, received her membership from President BJP Rajeev Chandrasekhar during the Convention “Vikasita Keral” organized by the party in Thodupuzha on Friday. After receiving the membership, the older woman criticized the congress management. She claimed that the local leaders of Congress ignored her, adding that BJP and cadre leaders consistently supported her.
Active in the congress
In July 2024, the Congress Committee of Kerala Pradesh (KPCC) built a house for a woman on 200 acres in Adimals and her key was handed over to her by K. Sudhan, then President of KPCC. Since then, she has been active at Congress and has been protests against the state government. Her sudden decision to join the BJP was too confused about the Congress leader.
During the Saturday visit to Thodupuzha, President KPCC Sunny Joseph ridiculed his decision. Mr. Joseph also said that the wishes of the congress were that every homeless was given houses.
Mrs. Mariakutty told the media that the local leadership of Congress had never contacted her after he had handed over the key to the house. “BJP MP Suesh Gopi still provides pension and leaders and BJP workers support,” she said.
Mrs. Mariakutty, together with Annamma Oouseph, 80, organized a “begging” of the protest by holding the clay pots in Adimals on November 8, 2023, and quoted the delay in paying social care. The protest caught extensive attention.
Meanwhile, the former Secretary General of the District Congress of IDUKKI Benny Peruvanthanam joined on Saturday. During the event “Vikasita Ceram” in Kattappana, he received membership from Mr. Chandrasekhar. In April, Mr. Peruvanthanam resigned to Congress to protest the side of the party to the WAQF law.
