
The newlywed couple from Indore Madhya Pradesh in Meghalayin Cherrapunji was missing from May 24th after they went there for honeymoon.
Raja Raghuwanshi (30) and Sonam Raghuwanki (27) reportedly arrived from Indore to the northeastern state on May 20 for their honeymoon. May 23, however, disappeared after they were last seen in Sohra, also known as Cherrapunji.
Sohra is a popular tourist destination in the East Khasi Hills district.
The reward has announced
The pair family offered a reward £5 Lakh to anyone who can provide information about his stay.
CM Conrad Sangma ensures help
Main Minister Meghalaya Conrad Sangma assured help with relatives of the couple. CM said on Thursday that he “personally monitors” search operations.
He also stated that, in addition to the authorities, the entire local community was involved in the search effort.
“A few days ago there was an unfortunate incident, when the newlywed couple disappeared from Madhya Pradesh, who came to Meghalay Sohr, disappeared. It is a very unfortunate situation. My counterpart from Madhya Pradesh, chief minister, called me.
“I follow this situation in person every day. SP, like the entire administration and police forces, were at work 24/7 to find a couple. Not only administration, but the whole village and community in this area also participate in this search,” he added.
Challenges before us
The main minister Meghalaya described challenges, said the monsoon season was made more difficult by the authorities.
“We use all the possible technology we have to help us in our efforts. As you know, it is a monsoon era and cherrapunji and the whole belt and the whole belt is known for heavy rainfall.

Indore MP reaches Shilllong
Indore MP Shankar Lalwani arrived in Shillong on Wednesday to meet higher police officers, including the CEO of Police Idashisha Nongrang to know about the probe.
Later he assured that all possible efforts to find a missing couple were developing.
