Indian Oil Corporation and Sun Mobility’s IndoFast Energy have established 80 swap stations with electric vehicles at 25 railway stations at Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions in South Central Railway (SCR).
Within the partnership, it plans to deploy additional 40 devices over the next three months, the company said on Wednesday. Of the 80 Secunderab division, 56 devices are hosting, while the remaining are under the Hyderabad division.
Driving drivers, delivery partners for the last mile and daily commuting using electric two and tricycles will benefit from equipment that, in addition to anxiety elimination, will increase productivity through fast and comfortable battery swaps. “We are proud to work with Indian Railways on this transformation path and we are excited to continue to expand this cooperation,” said Anant Badjatya.
SCR Divisional Railway Manager (Secunderabad) R. Gopalakrishnan said: “This first SCR initiative, in cooperation with energy indofest, refers to a significant step towards building and more efficient transit ecosystems.
