IndiGo Flight Cancellation Update: In a fresh update on Thursday, IndiGo said it is set to operate more than 1,950 flights out of its around 2,200 daily flights on a given day, connecting around 3 million customers to their destinations.
However, there is a chance that several IndiGo flights will be canceled today.
In a statement, IndiGo said all its network destinations were fully connected as of December 8.
“IndiGo continues to strengthen its operations and improve its services every day to now operate more than 1,900 flights seamlessly connecting all 138 destinations in our network,” the airline said.
IndiGo claimed that its operations had stabilized since December 9, 8 days after the airline and its passengers were crippled by massive flight disruptions, leading to one of India’s worst aviation crises ever.

The airline further claimed that its on-time performance had returned to its old standards and was “showing gradual improvement”.
“Our commitment to operational excellence has resulted in significant efficiency gains and our performance has been restored to the highest industry standards in a timely manner,” an IndiGo spokesperson said in a statement.
No same-day cancellations, claims IndiGo
The budget carrier, under fire from both the government and passengers, went on to say there had been no same-day flight cancellations in the past three days, “except for negligible cancellations due to weather, technical or other external or uncontrollable factors”.
A separate chart shared by IndiGo showed that three flights were canceled on the same day between December 8 and 10.

On 10 December, more than 1,900 IndiGo flights were operated, with two cancellations of the same registered.
“As the IndiGo team works hand-in-hand with the authorities to further normalize our operations, we remain focused on the safety, efficiency and support of every customer,” the airline said in a statement.
