
Indigo will start direct flights to London, Athens and eight other overseas cities in the current financial year, as the largest airline in the country continues with international expansion and expects to have more than 600 FY30 aircraft in its fleet.

Indigo will start operating direct flights from bombje to Manchester and Amsterdam with rented aircraft Boeing 787-9 in July, and services to the British city will also mark the debut of the airline.
Indigo, $ 10 billion, flies to more than 90 domestic and 40 international destinations. It operates more than 2,300 flights a day with a fleet of more than 430 aircraft.
Given that the airline expanding international operations, Elbers said there was also a huge opportunity to build India as a great place to connect flights when it emphasized the potential of the country to become an international center.

He also said that the airline has the highest number of pilots at approximately 15 % of the total power of the pilot.
While he mentioned that Indigo had a partnership with different airlines, Elbers said, “At this point, we have no short -term ambitions or any ambitions to move to the Alliance”.
Meanwhile, Indigo will also organize the 81 Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the national capital. AGM takes place in India after 42 years.
