What has IndiGo said about the refund and who is eligible?
In a statement, IndiGo said refunds have been processed for those who were scheduled to travel between December 3 and 15 but whose flights were canceled due to mass disruption to the airline’s operations.

“We would like to inform you that refunds for flights canceled between December 3, 2025 and December 15, 2025 are already being processed,” the company said.
“In the event that your plans have changed due to the disruption, we are also offering a full waiver of change and cancellation requests for all bookings valid for travel through December 15, 2025. You can do so at and follow the simple steps. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method and may appear as one or two transactions,” he said.
“We deeply apologize for the disruption to your journey. Please be assured that our teams on site and behind the scenes are working tirelessly to support all affected customers and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.”

As the carrier struggles to resume normal operations after canceling hundreds of flights since last Tuesday, December 2, IndiGo operations began to partially recover from Saturday night. The budget carrier’s performance improved to 79.9% on Sunday as it operated 1,650 flights and canceled 650.
How many flights were canceled on Monday 8 December?
On Monday, the Rahul Bhatia-owned domestic carrier canceled 562 flights from six metro airports, with 150 cancellations coming from the Bengaluru airport alone, according to sources, PTI reported.
The DGCA panel probing the IndiGo flight disruption is likely to summon CEO Pieter Elbers, COO Isidro Porqueras on Wednesday, December 10, news agencies said, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.
