A woman named Avy shared a funny yet embarrassing moment from a dating app that quickly went viral. She connected with a man who is an IndiGo pilot and he liked one of her photos. But things went wrong when she made a joke on the airline.
When the dating app prompted her to start a chat, she attempted a joke. She texted him that her IndiGo flight refund still hadn’t been processed.
“Bhaiya, just a flight ka refund nahi mila abhi tak (bro, I still haven’t got my flight refund),” she quipped.
Instead of laughing, the pilot “matched” her almost immediately.

Avy posted the screenshots on Twitter (now X) and joked that she was in tears. She again joked that “there is no room for funny women in this country”. Her tweet drew a wide range of reactions and amused many users online.
Many users felt that the lady “deserved it”.
“I’m sure this definitely wasn’t the first time the delusional guy got something like this. So he has my solidarity,” wrote one.
“As he should,” wrote another, defending the IndiGo pilot’s non-tracking.

“Imagine how many times he’s had to hear the same joke in the last few days. It’s like Harry being told he looks like his dad, except for his eyes, which are like his mum’s. Dude, he’s sick of hearing the same thing over and over,” chimed in another.
Another user called out the lady for calling the pilot “bhaiya”, “No one says bhaiya when they are actually asking for a refund.”
“You only teamed up with him to make this joke, didn’t you?” joked another.
“It wasn’t funny for them in the middle of the chaos, a really sensitive thing,” commented another.
Another user wrote: “Stop harassing employees. Contact customer support.”
“Bhaiya Bol K Date Expect karna Is Not Funny,” read another, accompanied by a Hrithik Roshan meme from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
IndiGo Chaos: Explained
IndiGo faced a major meltdown in early December. Thousands of flights were canceled and nearly five million passengers were stranded during the peak wedding season.
The worst disruption occurred on December 5, with approximately 1,600 cancellations. The crisis began after new rules for pilot rest came into effect on December 2.
India’s largest airline has been short of crew due to a hiring freeze and no-poaching agreements. Poor planning added to the problems.
Technical glitches, winter fog and airport congestion have worsened the situation at major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
As recently as December 21, 110 IndiGo flights to and from Delhi were cancelled. More than 370 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport due to low visibility due to dense fog.
