Bomb threat on Delhi-Pune flight
Last week, IndiGo flight 6E 2608 from Delhi to Pune received a bomb threat after arriving at Pune airport. The threat was in the form of a handwritten note found in the plane’s lavatory. The flight landed safely at the Pune airport and all passengers were safely disembarked, sources said.
The aircraft, due to arrive at 20:40 on 22 January, landed at 21:24 and was parked in bay 3 at 21:27. Subsequently, Air Traffic Control (ATC) communicated information about the bomb threat to ground control.
The aircraft was then moved to an isolation bay. Apron Control immediately alerted all concerned agencies and the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was convened. After assessment, the aircraft was thoroughly inspected by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).
No suspicious or adverse findings were detected during security checks. After the procedures were completed, the aircraft was released and cleared for normal operations.
