ixigo, a travel booking company, on Saturday announced that it will refund all convenience and guaranteed charges for all tickets purchased through its platform for passengers affected by major IndiGo flight cancellations.
ixigo refund offer
The entire convenience fee and guaranteed fee paid on the ticket price will be refunded by the travel booking company and all passengers whose IndiGo flights have been canceled by the airline will be eligible for the offer.
ixigo’s refund offer includes flights canceled by the company Indigo between December 3 and December 8, 2025.
The travel aggregator issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to helping travelers secure prompt and full refunds and assisting them with alternative bookings during this difficult period of disruption.
“We understand how stressful a flight disruption can be. To support inconvenienced passengers during these difficult times, ixigo will refund full convenience and guaranteed charges to all our customers whose IndiGo flights were canceled by the airline between December 3 and 8, 2025,” it said.
The development comes at a time when IndiGo continues to face severe operational disruptions. The airline canceled more than 800 flights on Saturday alone, after canceling more than 1,000 flights on Friday, leaving thousands of passengers stranded across the country.
The mass cancellations are largely attributed to a pilot shortage resulting from the full implementation of new, stricter Flight Duty Time Limits (FDTL) rules to ensure adequate crew rest.
IndiGo cancels 41 flights in Kolkata
IndiGo Airlines canceled a total of 41 flights at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (NSC Bose) on Saturday, continuing a wide-ranging operational crisis plaguing the airline.
An official from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) confirmed the breakdown of the cancellations: 21 flights were scheduled to arrive from different destinations and 20 flights were scheduled to depart to different cities throughout the day.
IndiGo Resolving customer refund issues
The airline said on Saturday that it was treating all customer refund issues as a “priority” and was “absolutely” working to get operations back on track across its network.
“The number of cancellations fell below 850 flights on Saturday, much less compared to Friday. We continue to work to gradually reduce this number over the next few days,” IndiGo said in a statement.
For help with refunds, the airline said, customers can visit its website or contact customer support.
