Delhi Rains: Airlines operators, Indigo, Air India, Akasa and Spicejet released official travel counseling for Delhi (NCR) and Grrabram on Monday, September 1, 2025, when heavy rains were attracted around the city and caused water and operation.
The previous MINT report proposed that an orange warning was issued in Delhi, active until 17:45, the orange Meteorological Agency alert was also effective for Faridabad, Noida and Grrabram.

The report also quoted data on the meteorological department (IMD) in India, which stated that orange alerts were issued for the Gurogram and Faridabad for Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

The largest Indian airline operator, Indigo, said that due to severe rainfall, Delhi experienced a decline and low visibility, which is likely to lead to slow road conditions in several parts of the city.
“Heavy rainfall continues throughout Delhi and the conditions of roads remain slow in several parts of the city. On some routes at the airport, they apply on some routes at the airport.
The airline also suggested that people traveling to the airport should allocate some extra time when traveling. They also said that people should check their condition on Monday before leaving for the airport.

Air India Travel Advisory
Air India said on Monday in its travel counseling that heavy rains in Delhi are likely to affect flight operations at Indira Gandhi Airport.
“The rain can affect the flight operations to AZ Delhi today,” Air India said in its contribution to the X platform.
The airline recommended that its passengers check their flight plans before leaving for the airport.

Akasa Air Travel Advisory
Akasa Air also expected that due to rains in certain parts of Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, the airline expects slowly moving operation and overload on the way to the airport.
“Given the strong rainfall in some parts of Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, we expect slowly moving traffic and overload on the roads leading to the airport,” Akasa Air said in his post.
Although they recommend passengers to assign more time to their travel at the airport, airline companies apologized for the inconvenience of travel plans and asked people to understand this matter.
“To ensure a trouble -free travel experience, we ask you to plan your next time to travel to get to your flight in time,” they said.

Spicejet said in his post that all departures and arrivals at Delhi Airport will probably be hit on Monday due to bad weather in the city. The airline recommended its passengers to check their status of years before going to the airport for travel.
“Due to bad weather in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their subsequent flights could be affected. Passengers are asked to check their status for years,” Spicejet said in his post.
