
On Saturday, the police filed an indictment against two persons for the “false implication of the beauty owner in the drug case” in the district. The indictment was submitted before the Thrissur District Sessions.
The indictment was filed against Livia Jose, a native of Kalalada and Narayan Das of Thripunithura, the police said. They were accused according to the Act on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (NDP) for false implication of the owner of the Salon Salon Sunny in the drug case.
Police said Livia was sister of the sister -in -law Sheela Sunny. Livia conspired with her girlfriend Narayan to get involved in Sheel, who had a dispute with her daughter, the policeman said.
Found in a bag
In March 2023, the duo won 12 false LSD signs from Bengalur and kept them in Sheel’s bag. Later, Narayan leaned out the excise tax officials who arrested Sheel with drugs. Sheela was imprisoned for 72 days, the police said.
She was exempt from the excise tax department after chemical examination of seized grades confirmed that they did not contain LSD. Last year, the police registered the case and arrested Narayan and Livia, who went abroad after Sheel was released from prison, the officer said. Last week, the Kerala High Court granted Livia, which has been in prison for more than two months, bail.
