The unique installation unveiled at c0c0n 2026, the 19th annual cyber security and hacking conference in Kochi, turned out to be a “tall” symbol of cyber awareness.

The 25-foot-tall horse sculpture titled The Trojan Project™, India’s first cyber Trojan horse, weighing approximately two tons, was created by artist DaVinci Suresh using approximately 850 pieces of discarded electronic waste, including motherboards, processors, memory modules, printed circuit boards, cables and other electronic components.

“The Trojan project draws its inspiration from the legendary Trojan horse, a symbol of danger hidden behind a seemingly harmless or attractive exterior. By bringing this concept to life through a monumental installation, the project seeks to make the risks of the digital world more tangible and understandable for the public,” the event organizers said.

In addition to cyber security awareness, the installation also highlights the importance of responsible e-waste management and recycling, and shows how e-waste can be reused to create a meaningful public awareness initiative.

Mr. Suresh said that it took one and a half months to complete the project. “There are plans to shift it to Nehru Park in Fort Kochi as a permanent facility. If the plan succeeds, necessary changes in its structure will be made,” he said.

The installation was also launched in collaboration with Childlight – Global Child Safety Institute, a data institute hosted by the University of Edinburgh. The collaboration aims to use the visibility and symbolic importance of the memorial to raise awareness of online child sexual exploitation and abuse and to spread the message to audiences around the world.

C0c0n 2026, organized by the Kerala Police in collaboration with the Information Security Research Association, ends on Saturday (October 10, 2026).
