Australia Great Ricky Ponting, which is in Old Trafford within the broadcast team, says India needs early goals to prevent England to get a big sum and detonate them from the competition.

“England has two class players in the fold and India has to find a way early to get back into the game. If they don’t take goals soon, this match will slip very quickly.
“On such a goal, especially with the sun today – we saw a little turn late yesterday afternoon – it will be more difficult to burn as the game progresses. England, I’m sure it would think about the possibility of launching only once in this test match.
“They will look for a bat all day, publish quite huge first shifts and this percentage of victories – 68%, in my counting – will rise during the day,” Ponting said.
