“Then they took their heads and hit her three times into the lamp. Then everyone struck him and kicked him, and undressed his shoes, from his pants, from her underwear. They took the phone and took money, and then left him dead,” she told the daily.
According to Murray, the man was bleeding heavily and seemed to be in heavy shock. “His legs were completely saturated in his blood. The blood actually stiffened so much that we had to cut off his jacket to check the wounds on his chest,” she added. “It was a pure racism that led to an attack by innocent people.”

Irish police open probe
The Irish Guarda police confirmed that they were warned of the attack and started an incident investigation. The spokesman said: “The Gardai in Tallaght was warned of the incident on Parkhill Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 in the evening on Saturday 19th.
The authorities stressed that the accusations of the misconduct caused by the attack are completely unfounded. These false claims, originally widespread attackers and subsequently reinforced with far-right and anti-immigrant groups, were rejected by the police.
Local leaders expressed their concerns about the incident and emphasized the wider question of growing xenophobia and racist violence in Ireland. Fine Gael Baby Perepadan, after meeting with the victim after hospitalization, described the man as a deeply traumatized and called for increased Guard patrols in this area. He noted, “He couldn’t speak much for the shock he was. He is not taking any visitors at the moment. Small incidents like these are often happening in Tallaght.”
The Indian community in Ireland expressed deep concern as a result of the attack and urges the Irish government to take urgent steps to engage in immigrant and minority groups to deal with security concerns.
Meanwhile, on July 26, a protest is planned by anti-racism and promigrant organizations to condemn such hate crimes and demand justice for the victim. The Indian Ambassador in Ireland, Akhilesh Misra, also condemned the attack and called for a rapid prosecution of responsible.
“How can an alleged attack cause such a terrible injury and bleeding? Zrume on insensitivity and confusion of RTE (Irish national media outlets) hope that the perpetrators are brought to justice,” he said on the X.
