Indian Railways, in cooperation with India Container Corporation (Concor), will launch its first container train service with secured time of transit on a pilot from 1 October 2025.
The two -week service will run from the inland container Depot (ICD) Tuglakabad in Delhi, to Conor’s CTCS terminal in Calcutta via agra and kanpur. It offers a guaranteed transit of 120 hours, the first for container services in this corridor.
The dedicated train will follow the route: Ticd (Delhi) – Apty (AGRA) – ICDG (Kanpur) – CTKR/CTCS (Kolkata). He leaves every Wednesday and Saturday. The model and rays of the Agra and Kanpur will allow efficient cargo aggregation and extend the range of the service.
In order to support adoption, Concor also offers resignation for the empty cost of transporting the car from Tuglakabad to Kanpur.
“This pilot project is expected to provide customers with several benefits, including secured doors and reliable delivery for time -sensitive freight, competitive road transport alternative, increased connectivity for Northern Hinterland cargo and benefits for premature adoption,” the Ministry of Railways said.
