IndiGo cancels flights at Hyderabad airport
Meanwhile, as many as 43 outbound Indigo flights were canceled from here on Saturday, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport told PTI.
Passenger frustration and airport chaos
Similarly, 26 inbound flights are likely to be canceled during the day, they said. The cancellation of flights drew the ire of passengers who thronged the IndiGo counters at the airport demanding to know the exact situation. “This is utter nonsense! Digiyatra done, received message that flight was rescheduled before scheduled departure and now upon arrival at Hyderabad airport we learn at security that Indigo flight is cancelled,” said Tarun Singha, former Defense Ministry spokesperson in a post on X.
“But the thing is, if you don’t shout, they don’t do anything. For example, at Hyderabad airport, no staff were informed about the flight for an hour. Then a fellow passenger started shouting into the microphone and finally the Indigo staff showed up,” one netizen said in the post.

In a one-way video call, Elbers also said the airline expects fewer than 1,000 flights on Saturday.
