71 -year -old American citizen of Indian origin was blocked to death by a baseball bat and burned by her body before being thrown into a runoff in Ludhian, allegedly at the command of the British non -resident Indian (NRI) the man who was supposed to marry was revealed by a police investigation.
The victim, Rupinder Kaur Pandher, came to India from Seattle at the invitation of Charanjit Singh Grewal, an English nri origin from Ludhian, who was supposed to be her groom, but later refused to get married. She was killed in July, the police said.
The police official said some of the skeletal remains of the woman were obtained from the outflow.
Police arrested Sukhjeet Singh, a scribe in a court in Ludhian and a pound of Raipur in Ludhiana Patti, for killing a woman.
The incident came out after Ludhian’s police appointed a suspect in Pandher’s disappearance. In August, Mr. Singh was submitted to the company to avoid suspicion. He told the police that Pandher went to the airport in Delhi to visit Canada to attend the wedding, the police said.
Meanwhile, Pandher’s sister Kamal Kaur Khairah suspects when she found out that her cell phone had turned off on July 24th. Mrs. Khairah pointed out the US embassy in NovĂ˝ Delhi, which will cause the local police to deal with this matter.
Pandher and Mr. Grewal came into contact with each other on the marriage website and started walking, the police said.
Pandher, who was previously married twice, was declared a renowned offender in a dispute over property with his relatives and Mr. Grewal asked Mr. Singh to help her. Pandher even transferred her power of attorney to Mr. Singh and lived in her house.
Mr. Grewal did not want to marry Pandher and asked Mr. Singh to remove her. Nri promised to pay Mr. Singh 50 lakh to kill a woman and to help him move abroad after a crime, the police said.
July 12 Mr. Singh reportedly hit Pandher with a baseball bat that led to her death. Then he lit the body with coal, packed her remnants in the gunny bags and threw them into the runoff, they said.
Representative of the Police Commissioner (DCP) Rupinder Singh said the police had received some remnants of the victim.
Pandher’s damaged cell phone was also restored. The accusation damaged her iPhone using a hammer, which was also restored, said the officer.
According to police, Mr. Singh later had his house painted to destroy the evidence.
Mr. Singh confessed to killing Pandher in his house. Mr. Grewal, who is abroad, was also booked in the case of, the police said.
