Daksh Gupta, an American entrepreneur of Indian descent, who triggered severe criticism last year for approval of a 14 -hour working day, has not changed his views on long hours or a hustle and bustle culture. The founder of Greptile continues to claim that many Silicon Valley experts willingly put 12 hours of shifts, six days a week.
Standard San Francisco recently portrayed Gupta as a “baby poster Ai Boom’s Grindcore Culture”. In his interview with Outlet, he suggested that the Burning Man festival is already resonating with the younger generation, which now prefers discipline over lenientness.
What does Gupta say about the current lifestyle trend?
“The current atmosphere is not drinking, no drugs, 9-9-6 (work from 9:00 to 21:00, six days a week), raises hard, run far, timely, watches sleep, eats steaks and eggs,” Gupta said.
Only last week announced several jobs when launching in San Francisco. While it explains that employees are expected to work for 12-14 hours a day, Gupta also emphasized the offered payments and benefits.
What work is available on Greptile and what do they offer?
Greptile employees can earn a basic salary between $ 140,000 and $ 180,000 (around £1,2–1,5 crore) per year, except for its own capital worth 130 000 – 180 000 $ per year.
For experts with more than seven years of experience, basic salaries range from $ 240,000 to $ 270,000 per year.
All roles, however, require the presence of a full -time office in San Francisco, without provisions for remote work. Advantages include free meals, transport facilities, health care coverage and a match for contribution 401K.
Why Gupta defends 14 hours of working days?
Gupta previously prevented his attitude to long hours and insisted that employees should expect 14 hours. He compared the pace of work in his society with the “start of the rocket”.
“If you care about the balance between working and private life, I think it is great. There are a lot of places that work like this and are very successful,” NBC said in an earlier interview.
