The Indian man becomes viral for withdrawing a hack with an intelligent technician: he bought a MacBook from Vietnam, saved money on the device, and turned his way to a 11 -day holiday, everything for less than what a notebook would cost in India.
A user that goes around @Shuict RedditHe shared how a little planning helped him combine work, travel and savings at once.
“If you plan to buy a MacBook or iPhone that is worth it. £2 Lakh+ in India, believe me, it’s worth making a short trip to Vietnam, ”he wrote.
Mathematics behind Hack MacBook
The MacBook model he wanted was around £1.85 Lakh in India, even after banks’ offers. Instead, he booked the cheapest ticket for a return trip to Hanoi, from there he worked remotely and bought a device from an authorized Apple dealer in Vietnam.
Thanks to lower prices and policy of returning VAT for tourists on Earth, he eventually paid only around £1.48 lakh for the same model- savings almost £36 500.
He also advised others to try the same: “Always ask,” Do you provide documents on the return of VAT to the airport? ” ”
How much did the journey cost?
Even after billing laptop, international flights, stay, food and monuments, the total cost of his trip came to approximately £2.8 lakh. But after receiving the return of VAT there was the final cost around £1,97 lakh.
This means that the whole Vietnamese path stands only £48 000- Less than what most domestic holidays cost.
His post, shared on July 30, has now become viral and attracts praise for being both financially intelligent and witty. Several users commented that they were considering trying something similar, while others were surprised when they learned that Apple products could be significantly cheaper in Vietnam.
