An Indian tourist was allegedly attacked by a group of transgender women in the Thai resort of Pattaya after a dispute over payment, according to local media reports. The incident, which took place in the early hours of December 27, was caught on camera and videos of the assault have since surfaced online.
According to the Thaiger report, the man, identified as 52-year-old Raj Jasuja, was confronted by three transgender women who demanded money from him. When he allegedly refused to pay and tried to leave the area in his car, the argument escalated. The women allegedly accused him of backing up to pay and pulled him out of the vehicle with the assistance of others present at the scene.
Video clips circulating on social media show the tourist being kicked and assaulted before paramedics intervened. Rescuers found Jasuji with injuries to his face and the back of his head, according to a report by Thai news site Thaiger. He was given first aid at the spot and later taken to Pattamakun Hospital for medical treatment.

A teenage eyewitness told emergency services that the fight started near the entrance to a busy pedestrian street in Pattaya. The witness claimed that the disagreement turned physical after a dispute over an amount allegedly agreed for services and soon more people joined in, leading to a group attack.
Thai police officials said they plan to register a formal complaint once the injured tourist has fully recovered. Authorities added that the case will then be investigated in accordance with Thai law.
Pattaya, one of Thailand’s most visited tourist destinations, has witnessed similar incidents in the past. Local news has previously highlighted disputes involving foreign tourists and transgender sex workers, including cases of assault and alleged theft, underscoring ongoing security and law enforcement concerns in the area.
